Bosetan 62.5mg Tablets contain bosentan, a specialist medicine for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Dangerously high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs. Bosentan blocks endothelin, a substance that narrows these vessels, relaxing and widening the lung arteries to ease breathlessness and improve exercise capacity. It is prescribed and closely monitored within specialist PAH care. This medicine is administered under specialist medical supervision only.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Dosage is determined by your prescribing doctor based on your individual needs. Do not adjust your dose without medical supervision. Take as prescribed, usually twice daily (morning and evening), with or without food, swallowed with water. Treatment typically starts at a lower dose and is increased after a few weeks under supervision. Attend all monthly blood tests and appointments. They are an essential, non-negotiable part of treatment. This medicine is administered under specialist medical supervision only.

CRITICAL: bosentan can harm the liver and causes serious birth defects. Monthly liver blood tests and (for women of childbearing potential) monthly pregnancy tests with reliable non-hormonal contraception are mandatory, as bosentan can make hormonal contraception fail. Report yellowing of the skin, dark urine, nausea or unusual tiredness urgently. May cause fluid retention, anaemia and low blood pressure. Tell your specialist about all medicines.
