Directions for Use

This medicine requires a prescription. Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily, with or without food, ideally in the morning to avoid passing urine at night. Swallow whole with water at the same time each day. Keep taking it even when you feel well. Do not stop without advice.

Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding, or in severe liver or kidney disease. Tell your doctor if you have gout, diabetes or low potassium. May cause dizziness, especially when standing. Rise slowly. Avoid potassium supplements and salt substitutes unless advised. Your doctor may check kidney function and electrolytes. Store below 30°C. Co-Tasmi 80/12.5mg is a once-daily blood pressure tablet combining telmisartan 80mg (an angiotensin receptor blocker) with hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg, a water tablet (diuretic). Telmisartan relaxes and widens blood vessels while the diuretic removes excess fluid, together lowering high blood pressure (hypertension). The higher telmisartan strength is used when stronger control is needed. Good control helps protect against stroke, heart attack and kidney disease. Supplied as a 14-tablet pack.
