Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily in the morning, swallowed whole with water (do not crush or chew the depot tablet). Take with or without food, but avoid grapefruit juice. Do not stop suddenly. Beta-blockers must be tapered under medical supervision. Attend regular blood pressure reviews.

Do not use with very slow heart rate, heart block, uncontrolled heart failure or severe asthma. May cause ankle swelling, flushing, headache (felodipine) or tiredness, cold hands and vivid dreams (metoprolol). Can mask low-sugar symptoms in diabetics. Caution with verapamil/diltiazem and other heart-rate-lowering medicines. Rise slowly if dizzy. Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding only on medical advice. Store below 30°C.
