Zaart 50 mg contains losartan which is used in the treatment of high blood pressure. Decreasing high blood pressure lowers the risk of heart attack and stroke. Zaart 50 Tablet is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It relaxes the blood vessel by blocking the action of a chemical that usually makes blood vessels tighter. This lowers the blood pressure, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly to different organs and the heart to pump more efficiently.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zaart 50 mg tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Taking Losartan with alcohol may excessively lower the blood pressure. Zaart is unsafe to use during pregnancy but may be used during breast feeding. Zaart 50 mg tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Zaart 50 mg tablet is recommended. However it is to be used with caution in patients with liver disease and dose adjustment maybe required. Always consult with your doctor before taking this medication.
