Travatan Eye Drops contains Travoprost (0.004% w/v) which is used in the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension. Travatan Eye Drop is a prostaglandin analogue. It works by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye), thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.
This medicine is for external use only.Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid. Make sure to use within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
Travatan Eye Drop may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. It should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body. The following information is an educational aid only.
