Severe kidney impairment (e.g., CKD stage 4+ or eGFR <30 mL/min/1.73m²) due to risk of fluid overload, electrolyte imbalances, or worsening kidney damage. 

Rapid fluid infusion may cause pulmonary edema, arrhythmias, or cardiac strain in patients with heart conditions (e.g., congestive heart failure, hypertension):
