Caberlin 0.5 mg tablets contains Cabergoline 0.5 mg which is used in treatment of high levels of prolactin. It is also used to stop breast milk production (lactation) in case of stillbirth, abortion or miscarriage. Caberlin 0.5 mg Tablet is a dopamine antagonist. It blocks the action of a chemical messenger (dopamine) which is responsible for the release of prolactin, a hormone that helps in breast milk production.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Caberlin 0.5 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Taking cabergoline together with alcohol may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. It is probably safe to use during pregnancy and should be used caution in lactation. Caberlin 0.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
