TX-MF Tablets Tranexamic Acid 500 mg and Mefenamic Acid 250 mg which is used in the treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding and menstrual pain. Tranexamic Acid is an anti-fibrinolytic. It works by preventing the breakdown of blood clots to control excessive bleeding during periods. Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.
Taking Mefenamic acid with alcohol increases the risk of stomach bleeding. TX-MF tablets may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Please consult your doctor.
