Aerius 5mg Tablets from Organon/MSD contain desloratadine, a once-daily, non-drowsy antihistamine for adults and adolescents from 12 years. Aerius relieves the symptoms of allergic rhinitis. Sneezing, runny or blocked nose, itchy nose and palate, and itchy, watery, red eyes. Whether triggered seasonally by pollen or year-round by dust mites, mould and pets. It also calms the itching and wheals of chronic urticaria (hives). Working within an hour and lasting 24 hours, Aerius keeps people alert and productive through allergy season without the sedation of older antihistamines (30 tablets).

Desloratadine 5mg per film-coated tablet.

Directions for Use

Adults and adolescents 12 years and over: take one tablet once daily, at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow whole with water. Use regularly during your allergy season, or as needed for flare-ups, as advised by your doctor or pharmacist. Do not exceed one tablet per day. If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical review.

Do not use if allergic to desloratadine or loratadine. Not for children under 12. Use the syrup instead. Use with caution in severe kidney disease and in those with a history of seizures. Side effects are uncommon but can include fatigue, dry mouth and headache; very rarely dizziness or palpitations. Although non-drowsy for most people, see how it affects you before driving. Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Store below 30°C in the original packaging.
