Overview

The AeroChamber with Mouthpiece (Adult) is a spacer device that makes pressurised (aerosol) inhalers work more effectively. The chamber holds the puff of medicine so it can be breathed in slowly and fully through the mouthpiece, instead of needing perfect timing between pressing and inhaling. This gets more medicine into the lungs and less in the mouth and throat. Improving control of asthma and COPD and reducing side effects like oral thrush from steroid inhalers. It is suitable for adults using a metered-dose inhaler. A valuable aid helping inhaler users get the full benefit of their medicine.

Directions for Use

Follow the instructions provided with the device and your doctor's advice. In brief: shake the inhaler and insert it into the back of the chamber, breathe out gently, seal your lips around the mouthpiece, press the inhaler once and breathe in slowly and deeply, then hold your breath for about 10 seconds. Take one puff at a time. Rinse your mouth after steroid inhalers. Clean the spacer regularly as directed. Usually weekly in warm soapy water, then air-dry without rinsing or rubbing.

Use only with a pressurised metered-dose inhaler, as directed by your doctor or asthma nurse. Do not towel-dry the inside, as this creates static that reduces how much medicine reaches the lungs. Let it air-dry. Replace the device as recommended by the manufacturer or if cracked or damaged.
