Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily, shortly before or with breakfast (the first main meal), swallowed whole with water. Do not skip meals after taking your tablet. This raises the risk of low blood sugar. Your doctor will adjust the dose gradually based on your glucose readings. Monitor your blood sugar as advised and attend regular reviews.

Can cause low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia). Learn the warning signs (sweating, trembling, hunger, confusion, fast heartbeat) and keep a sugary snack at hand; driving requires extra care. Do not use in type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe kidney or liver disease, or sulfonamide allergy. Limit alcohol, which unpredictably affects blood sugar. Tell your doctor if pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. Insulin is usually preferred. May cause weight gain or, rarely, blood or liver disorders. Store below 30°C.
