Amlong 10mg Tablets contain amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and to prevent the chest pain of angina. Amlodipine relaxes and widens the blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily, which lowers blood pressure and reduces the heart's workload. Keeping blood pressure controlled lowers the long-term risk of stroke, heart attack and kidney problems. Concerns that are common . The 10mg strength is the higher dose. Directions for Use

This medicine requires a prescription. Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once a day, at about the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow it whole with water. Continue taking it even when you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms; stopping suddenly can let your blood pressure rise again. Keep up regular blood pressure checks with your healthcare provider, and do not change the dose without advice.

It may cause ankle swelling, flushing, headache or dizziness, especially at first; rise slowly from sitting or lying to avoid light-headedness. Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice, which can increase the medicine's effect. Tell your doctor if you have heart or liver problems, or very low blood pressure, and mention all other medicines, including other blood pressure treatments.
