Angilock 50mg (losartan) is a prescription medicine for high blood pressure (hypertension). As an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), it relaxes and widens the blood vessels by blocking a hormone that narrows them, helping lower blood pressure. It is also used to protect the kidneys in people with type 2 diabetes and to reduce the risk of stroke. Taken once daily, Angilock helps adults control hypertension and reduce the long-term risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney problems.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Angilock 50mg is usually taken once daily, at about the same time each day, with or without food, swallowed with water. Take it regularly even when you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms. Do not change the dose or stop without medical advice.

This is a prescription medicine. May cause dizziness, especially at the start of treatment or when standing up quickly. Rise slowly. Tell your doctor about kidney problems, and avoid potassium supplements or salt substitutes unless advised, as losartan can raise potassium. Should be avoided in pregnancy.
