Aprovel 150mg Tablets (28 pack) from Sanofi contain irbesartan, an angiotensin-receptor blocker (ARB) for high blood pressure. Irbesartan blocks a natural hormone that tightens blood vessels, allowing them to relax and widen so blood pressure falls and the heart's workload eases. It is also used to protect the kidneys in people with type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. The 150mg strength is a common starting dose. Once-daily and well tolerated, Aprovel gives steady, 24-hour blood-pressure control for people with hypertension.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily, with or without food, swallowed with water at the same time each day. Keep taking it even when you feel well. Do not stop without advice, and attend regular blood-pressure, kidney and potassium checks so the dose can be adjusted as needed.

Do not use in pregnancy. ARBs can harm the unborn baby; tell your doctor at once if you become or plan to become pregnant. May cause dizziness, especially at first or on standing. Rise slowly. Can raise blood potassium and affect the kidneys; tell your doctor about kidney problems, dehydration or potassium supplements and water tablets. Store below 30°C.
