Arbitel 40mg Tablets contain telmisartan, an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and to help protect the heart and blood vessels. Telmisartan relaxes and widens the blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and easing the workload on the heart. Keeping blood pressure controlled reduces the long-term risk of stroke, heart attack and kidney problems. Concerns that are especially common . Directions for Use

This medicine requires a prescription. Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once a day, at about the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow it whole with water. Continue taking it even when you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms; stopping suddenly can let your blood pressure rise again. It may take a few weeks for the full effect. Keep up regular blood pressure checks with your healthcare provider.

Do not use if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy. ARBs can harm an unborn baby; tell your doctor straight away if you become pregnant, and avoid while breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, diabetes, or high potassium, and avoid potassium supplements or salt substitutes unless advised. It may cause dizziness, especially when standing up or when you start treatment, so rise slowly. Tell your doctor about other blood pressure or anti-inflammatory medicines.
