Overview

Arcoxia 90mg Tablets (7 pack) contain etoricoxib, MSD's once-daily COX-2 selective anti-inflammatory for arthritis and acute pain. Etoricoxib targets the COX-2 enzyme that drives pain and inflammation while largely sparing the stomach-protective COX-1, easing rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis flare-ups, gout attacks and dental pain with less stomach irritation than traditional NSAIDs. One tablet covers a full 24 hours. Convenient, potent relief for people managing painful joints under medical supervision.

Etoricoxib 90mg per film-coated tablet. Contains lactose.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one 90mg tablet once daily, with or without food, for the shortest time needed. For acute gout a higher strength may be prescribed briefly. Swallow whole with water. Do not combine with any other NSAID, including ibuprofen or diclofenac.

Avoid with heart disease, prior heart attack or stroke, uncontrolled hypertension, heart failure, active stomach ulcers or significant kidney or liver disease. COX-2 inhibitors carry cardiovascular risk, so blood pressure should be checked regularly. Not for use in pregnancy, especially the third trimester, or while breastfeeding. Caution with blood thinners, diuretics and ACE inhibitors. Stop and seek care for chest pain, swelling, black stools or rash. Store below 30°C.
