Atenol 50mg Tablets contain atenolol 50mg, a cardio-selective beta-blocker used to treat high blood pressure and angina, and to protect the heart after a heart attack. Atenolol slows and steadies the heart, reducing its workload and oxygen demand. Dependable once-daily control from one of medicine's most established cardiovascular agents.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Never stop suddenly. Abrupt beta-blocker withdrawal can trigger rebound angina or heart events; any discontinuation must be tapered under medical guidance. Attend regular pulse and blood pressure checks.
Not for use in asthma, very slow heart rate, certain heart blocks or untreated heart failure. May cause tiredness, cold hands and feet, dizziness or vivid dreams. Report fainting or a very slow pulse. In diabetes, beta-blockers can mask low-blood-sugar warnings. Doses are reduced in significant kidney impairment.
