Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Heart failure treatment starts very low and is doubled gradually every two weeks as tolerated. Take with food to reduce dizziness, at the same times daily. Do not stop suddenly. Abrupt withdrawal can trigger chest pain or heart rhythm problems; any change must be supervised.

Do not use with severe asthma, very slow heart rate, certain heart blocks or decompensated heart failure except under specialist care. Dizziness on standing is common early on. Rise slowly. May mask low-blood-sugar warning signs in diabetics and affect circulation in Raynaud's. Tell your doctor about diabetes, COPD and all medicines, especially verapamil, diltiazem and digoxin.
