Overview

Cilnitel 80/10mg Tablets combine telmisartan (80mg), an angiotensin-II receptor blocker (ARB), with cilnidipine (10mg), a calcium channel blocker, to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). The two work together to relax and widen blood vessels, helping lower blood pressure and reduce the long-term risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney problems. Cilnitel is suited to adults whose blood pressure needs more than one medicine for good control.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual dose is one tablet once daily, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Swallow whole with water. Keep taking it even if you feel well, and do not stop without your doctor's advice, as blood pressure may rise again.

Prescription-only medicine. Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you are or may become pregnant. Use with caution if you have kidney or liver problems, low blood pressure, or are dehydrated. May cause dizziness, ankle swelling, headache or flushing; rise slowly from sitting or lying.
