Citro-Soda Granules 120g is a fast-acting effervescent urinary alkaliniser used to relieve the burning discomfort of cystitis and mild urinary tract irritation, and to ease acid indigestion and heartburn. Its citrate and bicarbonate salts dissolve in water into a pleasant fizzing drink that reduces urine acidity. Calming the stinging sensation when passing urine, and neutralises excess stomach acid. A familiar pharmacy remedy for women managing the first signs of bladder discomfort, Citro-Soda offers quick symptomatic relief while you seek treatment for any underlying infection.

Effervescent granules containing sodium bicarbonate, sodium citrate (anhydrous), citric acid and tartaric acid. Confirm composition per dose on product packaging.

Directions for Use

Dissolve one level medicine measure (as provided, typically 4g) in a glass of cold water and drink once the fizzing settles. For urinary alkalinisation: take up to three to four times daily, or as directed on the packaging or by your pharmacist. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. If burning urination persists beyond 2 days, or is accompanied by fever, back pain or blood in the urine, see a doctor promptly. You may need antibiotic treatment.

Contains significant sodium. Not suitable for people on salt-restricted diets, or with high blood pressure, heart failure or kidney disease, except on medical advice. Do not use long term or to mask recurrent urinary symptoms. Recurrent infections need proper medical assessment. Can interact with some medicines (including methotrexate, lithium and certain antibiotics) by altering urine pH. Check with your pharmacist. Not recommended for young children unless advised.
