Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily, with or without food, ideally in the morning. Take it at the same time each day and continue even when you feel well; hypertension has no symptoms. Attend regular blood pressure, kidney and electrolyte reviews, and maintain lifestyle measures.

Do not use in pregnancy. Tell your doctor immediately if you become pregnant, or while breastfeeding except on medical advice. Caution with kidney impairment, gout, diabetes and lupus; thiazides can alter potassium, sodium, uric acid and blood sugar. Rise slowly if dizzy. Avoid ACE inhibitors, aliskiren, potassium supplements and regular NSAIDs alongside. Report muscle weakness or palpitations. Store below 30°C.
