Coloprep Bowel Preparation (2 x 177ml) is a bowel-cleansing solution used to empty and clean out the bowel before a colonoscopy, certain bowel surgery or X-ray examinations. A clean, empty bowel lets the doctor see the lining clearly and carry out the procedure safely and accurately. The two split doses are taken with plenty of clear fluids to flush the bowel completely, producing watery stools until the bowel is clear. A short-term, single-use preparation helping patients get ready for colonoscopy and similar procedures. Confirm the exact product and instructions with your hospital.

Directions for Use

Use exactly as instructed by your doctor or the hospital, and follow the timing on the pack. The dose is usually split, with one part taken the evening before and the other early on the morning of the procedure. Mix each dose as directed and drink it within the stated time, followed by plenty of additional clear fluids to stay hydrated and clean the bowel fully. Follow the clear-fluid or low-residue diet advised beforehand, and stop eating solid food as instructed.

Drinking enough clear fluid alongside the preparation is essential to avoid dehydration and salt imbalance. Tell your doctor before use about heart, kidney or liver problems, dehydration, bowel obstruction or inflammatory bowel disease, and about medicines such as water tablets, blood-pressure or diabetes medicines, which may need adjusting.
