Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily in the morning, swallowed with water, with or without food. Take at the same time daily and never stop abruptly; doses are adjusted gradually under medical supervision. Keep up blood pressure and pulse checks, and report new breathlessness or ankle swelling promptly.

Avoid with severe asthma, very slow pulse, certain heart blocks or acute heart failure. Can mask low-blood-sugar warning signs in diabetics. Initial tiredness, dizziness and cold extremities usually settle. Rise slowly from sitting. Caution with verapamil, diltiazem, clonidine and other blood-pressure or rhythm medicines.
