Overview
Cytotec 200mcg Tablets (28 pack) from Pfizer contain misoprostol. It is used to protect the stomach from ulcers caused by anti-inflammatory painkillers (NSAIDs) and to treat stomach and duodenal ulcers by reducing stomach acid and strengthening the stomach lining. Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. For ulcer protection, take only as directed by your doctor. Usually with food and at bedtime, swallowed with water. For any other (gynaecological) use, it must be given strictly under medical supervision following your doctor's specific instructions. Do not use it for any purpose, dose or timing other than exactly what your doctor has prescribed.
Do NOT use in pregnancy for ulcer treatment. Misoprostol causes the womb to contract and can cause miscarriage; women who could become pregnant must use reliable contraception and confirm they are not pregnant before use. May cause diarrhoea, cramping abdominal pain or nausea. Tell your doctor about bowel disease or other conditions. Any pregnancy-related use must be supervised by a doctor only.
