Overview

Dexamethasone 0.5mg Tablets contain a corticosteroid ('steroid') with strong anti-inflammatory and immune-suppressing effects. It is used to treat a wide range of conditions involving inflammation or an overactive immune response. Including severe allergies, asthma flare-ups, rheumatic and skin conditions, certain blood and hormonal disorders, and as supportive treatment in some other illnesses. These tablets are prescribed for adults and children under a doctor's direction.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Dexamethasone is usually taken with or after food to protect the stomach, swallowed with water, at the dose and duration your doctor sets for your condition. Do not stop taking it suddenly if you have used it for more than a short course. The dose must usually be reduced gradually. Carry a steroid card if you are on longer-term treatment.

This is a prescription medicine. Do not stop suddenly after prolonged use.
