Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one 160mg tablet once daily, at the same time each day, with or without food. Do not stop when you feel well; hypertension is silent. Keep up salt reduction, exercise and weight management, and attend regular blood pressure, kidney function and potassium reviews.

Do not use in pregnancy. Valsartan can harm an unborn baby; tell your doctor immediately if you become pregnant, or while breastfeeding except on medical advice. Caution with kidney artery narrowing, severe liver disease and volume depletion. Avoid potassium supplements, salt substitutes and regular NSAIDs unless advised. Dizziness can occur early.
