Diuride 10 mg tablets contains torsemide which is used in the treatment of oedema and high blood pressure. It treats edema (fluid overload) associated with heart, liver, kidney or lung disease. It removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. In doing so, it causes potassium loss.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Diuride 10 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Taking Torsemide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, light-headedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate. Diuride is safe for use in pregnancy and during lactation. It is also safe for use in kidney disease and no dose adjustments is required.
