Haloperidol 5mg Tablets contain haloperidol, an antipsychotic medicine used to treat conditions affecting thinking, mood and behaviour. Haloperidol works by rebalancing brain chemicals (mainly dopamine) to ease the symptoms of schizophrenia and other psychoses. Such as hallucinations, delusions and severe agitation, and is also used for acute mania, severe agitation and persistent hiccups, and to control tics. By calming overactive brain signalling, it helps restore clearer thinking and calmer behaviour. A long-established, doctor-prescribed and closely supervised treatment helping people manage psychosis and severe agitation.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. The dose is tailored to your condition and adjusted carefully, swallowed with water at the times prescribed. Keep taking it every day even when you feel well, as stopping can bring symptoms back; never stop suddenly without advice. Attend regular reviews and the heart and blood checks your doctor may arrange.

Can cause movement side effects. Muscle stiffness, tremor, restlessness or unusual face and body movements; tell your doctor promptly, as the dose may need adjusting. Avoid driving until you know its effect, and avoid alcohol. Tell your doctor about Parkinson's, epilepsy, thyroid, liver or heart problems.
