Overview
Celestasafe Tablets are a prescription combination medicine containing betamethasone (a corticosteroid) and dexchlorpheniramine (an antihistamine), used to treat allergic and inflammatory conditions. It relieves symptoms of allergies, allergic skin conditions (such as eczema and dermatitis), and allergic respiratory problems by reducing inflammation and blocking the allergic response. Celestasafe helps adults manage moderate to severe allergic conditions when a stronger, short-term treatment is needed, under a doctor's guidance.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Celestasafe is usually taken with or after food, swallowed with water, for the short course your doctor prescribes. Because it contains a corticosteroid, do not stop suddenly after more than a few days' use. Your doctor may reduce the dose gradually. Do not exceed the prescribed dose or duration.
This is a prescription medicine containing a steroid and an antihistamine. May cause drowsiness. Avoid driving and alcohol. Not for long-term use without supervision; prolonged steroid use can affect blood sugar, blood pressure, bones, mood and infection risk, and should not be stopped abruptly. Tell your doctor about diabetes, high blood pressure, glaucoma, stomach ulcers, infections or if pregnant/breastfeeding. Avoid in people for whom anticholinergics are unsuitable (e.g. some prostate or glaucoma conditions). Store in a cool, dry place.
