Ebastel 10mg contains ebastine, a non-drowsy (second-generation) antihistamine. It is used to relieve the symptoms of allergic conditions such as hay fever (allergic rhinitis). Including sneezing, a runny or itchy nose and itchy, watery eyes, and itchy skin rashes such as hives (urticaria). Ebastine works by blocking histamine, the natural substance the body releases during an allergic reaction. Because it is long-acting, one tablet provides relief through the day and it is less likely to cause drowsiness than older antihistamines.

Directions for Use

It is usually taken as one 10mg tablet once a day, swallowed whole with water, with or without food (your doctor may advise 20mg for more severe symptoms). Take it at about the same time each day. For seasonal allergies, it can be taken during the season while symptoms are present. Follow the dose on the packaging or your doctor's advice, and do not exceed it.

Although it is described as non-drowsy, a few people may still feel sleepy. See how it affects you before driving, and avoid alcohol if affected.
