Overview

Aerius Oral Solution 0.5mg/ml (150ml) contains desloratadine, a modern once-daily antihistamine in a child-friendly syrup, from Organon/MSD. It relieves sneezing, runny and itchy nose, itchy watery eyes and itchy palate from allergic rhinitis, and calms the itching and wheals of chronic urticaria (hives). All without the drowsiness of older allergy syrups. The gentle, pleasant-tasting solution makes accurate daily dosing easy for children, giving families dependable allergy control that does not interfere with school or sleep.

Desloratadine 0.5mg per ml oral solution. Contains sorbitol. Full excipient list available on product packaging.

Directions for Use

Use the measuring spoon or syringe provided. Children 1-5 years: 2.5ml once daily. Children 6-11 years: 5ml once daily. Adults and children 12+: 10ml once daily. May be taken with or without food, at the same time each day. Use for under-1s only on a doctor's advice. See a doctor if symptoms persist despite regular use.

Generally non-sedating at recommended doses, but rare drowsiness can occur. Observe response before driving. Use with caution in severe kidney impairment and in patients with a history of seizures. Contains sorbitol. Unsuitable in rare fructose intolerance. Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Do not double up with other antihistamines. Store below 30°C; do not freeze.
