Overview
Momate-AZ Nasal Spray from Glenmark combines two medicines in one spray: mometasone, a corticosteroid, and azelastine, an antihistamine. It is used to relieve the symptoms of allergic rhinitis (hay fever and year-round nasal allergies), such as a blocked, runny or itchy nose and sneezing. The steroid reduces inflammation in the nose while the antihistamine blocks the allergic reaction, giving fast and effective relief from troublesome nasal allergy symptoms. A doctor-prescribed option helping people manage stubborn nasal allergies. Confirm the actives on the pack.
Actives: Mometasone furoate and Azelastine hydrochloride per spray. Confirm exact strengths on the pack.
Directions for Use
Use only as directed by your doctor. Shake the bottle gently and prime a new spray before first use. Gently blow your nose, then insert the nozzle into one nostril, aiming slightly outward (away from the central wall), and breathe in gently as you press to release the spray; repeat for the other nostril as directed. Usually once or twice daily. Wipe the nozzle and replace the cap after use. Use regularly for best results, as the steroid builds its effect over days.
For use in the nose only. Avoid spraying into the eyes. May cause a bitter taste, mild nasal dryness, irritation or occasional nosebleeds; tell your doctor about persistent nosebleeds, nasal pain or vision changes. Use the lowest effective dose, especially long-term, and tell your doctor about recent nose surgery or injury, glaucoma, or if a child is to use it. Use in pregnancy only on advice. Store below 30°C; do not freeze. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
