Overview

Montallerg Tablets (20 pack) combine montelukast 10mg, a leukotriene receptor blocker, with levocetirizine 5mg, a non-drowsy antihistamine, in one daily tablet for allergy and mild asthma symptoms. Montelukast calms the airway inflammation behind allergic asthma and persistent nasal allergy, while levocetirizine blocks histamine to relieve sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes and skin allergy. Together they tackle both arms of the allergic response. A convenient option for people coping with allergic rhinitis (hay fever), dust allergies and allergy-linked wheeze, especially in dusty or pollen-heavy seasons.

Actives: Montelukast 10mg and Levocetirizine 5mg per tablet.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily, taken in the evening. Swallow whole with water, with or without food, at the same time each day. For allergic rhinitis and asthma it works best taken regularly rather than only when symptoms flare. Keep taking it for the period your doctor advises, and continue any separate asthma reliever inhaler as prescribed.

This combination treats ongoing allergy and mild asthma. It does not relieve a sudden asthma attack; keep your reliever inhaler for that. Tell your doctor about any mood or sleep changes, as montelukast can rarely cause mood or behaviour effects. Report these promptly. May cause mild drowsiness, headache or dry mouth; take care driving until you know how it affects you. Caution with kidney problems. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice.
