Overview

Prostaflo-F Capsules combine two medicines for an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia, BPH). Tamsulosin, which relaxes the muscle of the prostate and bladder neck, and finasteride, which gradually shrinks the prostate gland. Together they give faster symptom relief (from tamsulosin) and longer-term improvement by reducing the size of the prostate (from finasteride), easing a weak stream, hesitancy, dribbling and frequent or night-time urination, and lowering the risk of urinary blockage. A convenient, doctor-prescribed combination helping older men manage moderate to severe prostate-related urinary symptoms. Confirm the actives on the pack.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one capsule once daily, swallowed whole with water after the same meal each day (do not crush or chew). The tamsulosin part helps within weeks, while the finasteride part takes 3 to 6 months to show its full benefit, so keep taking it regularly and do not stop without advice.

Women who are or may become pregnant must not handle crushed or broken capsules, as finasteride can harm a developing male baby. May cause dizziness on standing (rise slowly) and changes in sexual function (reduced drive, ejaculation changes), usually reversible; report breast lumps or tenderness.
