Overview
Oxybutynin 2.5mg Tablets are a prescription medicine used to treat an overactive bladder and the urinary symptoms it causes. Such as a frequent or urgent need to pass urine, and urge incontinence (leaking). As an antimuscarinic (anticholinergic) medicine, it relaxes the bladder muscle, reducing unwanted bladder contractions so you can hold more urine and go less often. Oxybutynin helps adults manage bothersome bladder symptoms under a doctor's guidance.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Oxybutynin is usually taken two to three times daily, with or without food, swallowed with water. The dose is often started low and adjusted to balance benefit and side effects. Take it regularly as prescribed; do not change the dose without medical advice.
This is a prescription medicine. Commonly causes a dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision and drowsiness. Avoid driving until you know how it affects you, and take care in hot weather as it can reduce sweating. Not suitable in certain conditions such as untreated narrow-angle glaucoma, some bowel or bladder-emptying problems, or myasthenia gravis. Tell your doctor your medical history. Tell your doctor about other medicines. Use with caution in the elderly and in pregnancy/breastfeeding (only if advised). Store in a cool, dry place.
