Overview

Mircera 120mcg Injection contains methoxy polyethylene glycol-epoetin beta. A long-acting erythropoietin from Roche that treats the anaemia of chronic kidney disease with just one injection per month once stable. By steadily stimulating red blood cell production, Mircera relieves renal anaemia's exhaustion with the simplest dosing schedule in its class. This medicine is administered under specialist medical supervision only.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Dosage is determined by your prescribing doctor based on your individual needs. Do not adjust your dose without medical supervision. Administered by subcutaneous or intravenous injection at the dose and interval your specialist sets. Typically every two weeks initially, then monthly once haemoglobin is stable. Guided by regular blood monitoring. Given by a healthcare professional or self-injected after training. Store refrigerated (2-8°C), never frozen, protected from light. Never reuse syringes.

Requires regular haemoglobin and blood pressure monitoring. Overcorrection raises the risk of hypertension, clots, stroke and heart events, so targets are deliberately moderate. Report severe headaches, sudden vision changes, chest pain, leg swelling or seizures urgently. Iron stores are monitored and usually supplemented. Report any loss of treatment effect promptly.
