Overview

Nugrel 75mg Tablets contain clopidogrel 75mg, an antiplatelet medicine that helps prevent dangerous blood clots. Used after heart attack, stroke or stent placement, and in peripheral arterial disease, to reduce the risk of further cardiovascular events. Clopidogrel stops platelets clumping together, keeping arteries flowing and protecting against clot-driven heart attacks and strokes.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily, with or without food, at the same time each day. Take it consistently and do not stop without medical advice. Especially after a stent, where stopping early risks a dangerous clot. If you miss a dose, take it when you remember unless it is nearly time for the next.

Increases bleeding risk. Report unusual or prolonged bleeding, bruising, black stools or blood in urine, and tell every clinician and dentist before any procedure or surgery (stopping is planned carefully, never abruptly after a stent). Tell your doctor about ulcers, recent bleeding or planned surgery. Some stomach-acid medicines (certain PPIs like omeprazole) can reduce clopidogrel's effect. Check with your pharmacist.
