Pradaxa 110mg Capsules (60 pack) contain dabigatran etexilate, Boehringer Ingelheim's oral anticoagulant at the moderated strength often chosen for older patients (75+), those with reduced kidney function, higher bleeding risk or on interacting medicines such as verapamil. Like the 150mg strength, it prevents stroke in atrial fibrillation and treats and prevents venous clots by directly blocking thrombin. With no routine INR testing, no dietary restrictions, and a specific emergency reversal agent (idarucizumab) available. Tailored clot protection for patients who need a gentler anticoagulant dose.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Typically one 110mg capsule twice daily, about 12 hours apart, with or without food. Swallow capsules whole; never open, chew or crush them. Take consistently and never double a missed dose. If more than 6 hours remain to the next dose, take the missed one; otherwise skip it. Tell every clinician, including your dentist, that you take Pradaxa.

Bleeding is the key risk. Seek urgent care for unusual bruising, prolonged bleeding, black stools, pink urine or severe sudden headache. Avoid with mechanical heart valves, severe kidney impairment or active bleeding. Interacts with ketoconazole, ciclosporin, dronedarone, rifampicin, verapamil and NSAIDs/aspirin. Kidney function is monitored during treatment. Keep capsules in their original moisture-proof packaging; store below 30°C and use within 4 months of opening a bottle.
