Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily, at the same time each day, with or without food, swallowed with water, and normally together with low-dose aspirin as your doctor advises. Keep taking it every day; do not stop without medical advice, as stopping early raises the risk of a clot. Tell any doctor or dentist that you take prasugrel before procedures.
Because it reduces clotting, it increases the risk of bleeding and bruising. Seek care for severe, unusual or unstoppable bleeding, black or bloody stools, or bleeding after injury. It is generally not used in people who have had a stroke or TIA, are over a certain age or low body weight, or have active bleeding. Your doctor will assess this. Tell your doctor about liver problems and all other medicines. Do not stop before surgery unless told to. Store below 30°C. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
