Overview
Varoxa 10mg Tablets contain rivaroxaban 10mg, a direct oral anticoagulant (blood thinner) used to prevent and treat blood clots. Including prevention of clots after hip or knee replacement surgery and, at this strength, extended prevention of recurrent clots. Rivaroxaban blocks a key clotting factor, reducing the risk of dangerous deep-vein and lung clots from one daily tablet.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily as prescribed. The 10mg dose is usually taken with or without food (confirm with your doctor). Take it consistently at the same time each day and do not miss doses; anticoagulant protection depends on steady levels. Do not stop without medical advice. Stopping raises clot risk.
Increases bleeding risk. Report unusual or prolonged bleeding, severe headache, black or bloody stools, blood in urine, or coughing/vomiting blood, and tell every clinician and dentist before any procedure or surgery. Avoid combining with other blood thinners or regular NSAIDs unless directed. Use caution in kidney or liver impairment. Tell your doctor about all medicines (certain antifungals, HIV and epilepsy medicines interact). Not for use in pregnancy. Carry an anticoagulant alert card. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
