Overview

Lioton 1000 Gel 30g from Menarini contains heparin sodium 1000 IU per gram, a topical anticoagulant gel for tired, heavy, aching legs and superficial venous problems. Massaged into the skin, heparin improves local blood flow, helps disperse superficial clots and bruising, and calms the inflammation of superficial thrombophlebitis, varicose vein discomfort and post-injury swelling. Its light, fast-absorbing, pleasantly scented gel makes daily leg care simple. Welcome relief for people who stand all day or struggle with varicose veins.

Directions for Use

Apply a 3-10cm ribbon of gel to the affected area and massage gently upwards (toward the heart) until absorbed, one to three times daily. Apply to intact skin only. Wash hands after use. Use regularly for several weeks for vein-related complaints, and combine with movement, leg elevation and compression stockings if advised. See a doctor if symptoms worsen.

For external use only. Do not apply to open wounds, broken or infected skin, eyes or mucous membranes. Not for treating deep vein thrombosis: sudden one-sided calf swelling, heat and pain needs urgent medical assessment, not gel. Caution if using anticoagulant medicines or with bleeding disorders.
