Overview
Feboxin Q 40mg Tablets contain febuxostat 40mg, a modern urate-lowering medicine for chronic gout. Febuxostat blocks uric acid production more selectively than older treatment, dissolving the urate burden that drives agonising gout attacks and joint damage. Long-term protection that, taken consistently, makes attacks progressively rarer until they stop.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily, with or without food, every day. Urate-lowering only works with consistency, and stopping restarts the problem. Expect possible flare-ups in early months as urate dissolves; your doctor may co-prescribe preventive treatment. Do not stop during a flare. Continue and treat the flare as advised.
Tell your doctor about heart disease before starting. Febuxostat is used cautiously with significant cardiovascular history. Report chest pain, breathlessness, or signs of a serious rash promptly, and symptoms of liver trouble (dark urine, yellowing eyes). Liver tests may be monitored. Do not combine with azathioprine or mercaptopurine. Drink plenty of fluids; limit alcohol and purine-rich foods for best results. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
