Goutgesic 80mg Tablets (10 pack) contain febuxostat at the higher 80mg strength, a uric-acid-lowering medicine used for the long-term prevention of gout. Febuxostat reduces how much uric acid the body makes, steadily lowering the blood level so the painful crystals that cause gout attacks dissolve and stop forming. Used daily, it helps prevent recurring attacks and protects the joints from the lasting damage of long-standing gout. The 80mg dose is used when a stronger effect is needed to reach the target uric-acid level. A doctor-prescribed maintenance option for people with troublesome recurrent gout.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine for long-term prevention, not for a sudden attack. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily, with or without food, at the same time each day. Keep taking it daily even when symptom-free, and attend regular uric-acid blood tests.
