Rockbon Pen (Teriparatide) 750mcg/3ml is a bone-building injection pen used to treat severe osteoporosis at high risk of fracture. Including postmenopausal osteoporosis and steroid-induced osteoporosis. Teriparatide is a form of parathyroid hormone that, given daily, actively stimulates new bone formation (rather than just slowing bone loss), strengthening bone and reducing fracture risk over the treatment course. This medicine is administered under specialist medical supervision only.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Dosage is determined by your prescribing doctor based on your individual needs. Do not adjust your dose without medical supervision. Inject under the skin (subcutaneously) once daily into the thigh or abdomen, using the prefilled pen exactly as trained, rotating sites. The first dose is often given where you can sit or lie down in case of dizziness. Store the pen refrigerated (do not freeze) and use within the period stated after first use. Never share the pen or needles. Treatment is for a limited total duration (typically up to 24 months). This medicine is used under specialist supervision.

May cause dizziness or a fast heartbeat shortly after injection, especially the first few times. Sit or lie down if affected and rise slowly. Total lifetime treatment is limited to the approved duration. Not for use with certain bone conditions, high blood calcium, prior bone radiotherapy, or some bone cancers. Your specialist will confirm suitability. Tell your doctor about kidney stones and all medicines, including calcium, vitamin D and digoxin.
