Donecept 5mg Tablets (30 pack) contain donepezil, the most widely prescribed medicine for mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. Donepezil boosts acetylcholine. The brain's memory messenger that runs low in Alzheimer's. Helping stabilise memory, thinking, orientation and the ability to manage daily activities, and often easing the load on family caregivers. The 5mg strength is the standard starting dose, taken once daily at bedtime. Dispensed against prescription, Donecept supports families walking the dementia journey with a loved one.

Donepezil hydrochloride 5mg per film-coated tablet.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual starting dose is 5mg once daily at bedtime, swallowed with water, with or without food; your doctor may increase to 10mg after at least a month. A caregiver should oversee dosing. Do not stop or change the dose without medical advice. Benefits fade if stopped.

May cause nausea, diarrhoea, vivid dreams, muscle cramps and slow heart rate, especially when starting or increasing the dose. Report fainting or palpitations promptly. Caution with heart conduction problems, asthma/COPD, stomach ulcer history and seizure disorders. Tell the doctor about all medicines, including other dementia drugs and anticholinergics. Effectiveness is reviewed periodically. Driving with dementia must be medically assessed. Store below 30°C.
