Epilim Chrono 300mg Tablets (100 pack) contain sodium valproate with valproic acid in a prolonged-release formulation from Sanofi, a cornerstone treatment for epilepsy. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Doses are individualised and adjusted gradually. Swallow tablets whole with water; do not crush or chew the prolonged-release coating. Take at the same time(s) daily, with food if it upsets your stomach. Never stop suddenly. Abrupt withdrawal can trigger seizures. Attend regular blood level, liver and clinical reviews.

IMPORTANT: valproate must not be used in girls or women able to have children unless a specialist-supervised pregnancy prevention programme is in place. It causes serious birth defects and developmental problems. Do not use with significant liver disease or certain metabolic disorders. Report unusual bruising, vomiting, drowsiness or jaundice promptly. Interacts with many medicines including other antiepileptics, aspirin and carbapenems.
