Epilim Chrono 500mg Tablets (100 pack) contain sodium valproate with valproic acid in Sanofi's prolonged-release Chrono formulation, providing smooth, round-the-clock control of epilepsy. Valproate is a broad-spectrum anticonvulsant effective across generalised and partial seizure types, and the once-or-twice-daily Chrono release reduces peaks and troughs that can cause side effects or breakthrough seizures. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. The dose is individualised and usually taken once or twice daily with or after food. Swallow tablets whole; do not crush or chew the prolonged-release coating. Never stop suddenly. Abrupt withdrawal can trigger seizures. Attend regular reviews and blood tests as advised.

IMPORTANT: Valproate must not be used in girls or women able to have children unless a specialist-supervised pregnancy prevention programme is in place. It causes serious birth defects and developmental harm. Tell your doctor immediately if pregnancy is possible or planned. Report unusual bruising, vomiting, drowsiness or yellowing skin (rare liver and pancreas effects). Interacts with many medicines including aspirin, carbapenems and other anticonvulsants.
