Perkinil 5mg Tablets (100 pack) contain trihexyphenidyl (benzhexol), an anticholinergic medicine used in Parkinson's disease and to control drug-induced movement problems (such as tremor and stiffness caused by certain antipsychotic medicines). Trihexyphenidyl reduces tremor, rigidity and excessive muscle movement by restoring chemical balance in the brain's movement-control pathways.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take exactly as prescribed, usually in divided doses through the day, with or after food. Doses are individual and usually started low and increased gradually. Do not stop suddenly. Trihexyphenidyl should be reduced gradually under medical guidance. Confirm your regimen with your doctor.

Commonly causes dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation and difficulty passing urine. Sip water and manage constipation; report inability to pass urine. Not for use with untreated narrow-angle glaucoma, significant urinary retention or certain bowel conditions. Can cause confusion, especially in the elderly. May cause drowsiness or blurred vision.
