Otrivin Infant Nasal Drops 0.05% (10ml) gently relieve a blocked nose in babies and young children, helping them feed and sleep more comfortably. The active ingredient, xylometazoline 0.05% (a gentler paediatric strength), shrinks swollen blood vessels in the nasal lining within minutes, easing congestion from colds, sinusitis and allergic rhinitis for up to 10 hours. Because blocked noses make feeding so difficult for infants, these drops from Haleon are a practical short-term aid for parents nursing a snuffly baby through a cold.

Directions for Use

For children under 6 years, use only on the advice of a doctor or pharmacist. Tilt the child's head back gently and instil 1-2 drops into each nostril once or twice daily as advised. Do not exceed 2 applications per day. Use the lowest effective frequency, and do not use continuously for more than 5-7 days. Wipe the dropper after use and do not share the bottle between children.

Do not use for more than 7 days. Prolonged use causes rebound congestion that worsens blockage. Not for infants under the age advised on the pack without medical guidance. Avoid in children with heart conditions or thyroid disorders except on medical advice. Use only one decongestant product at a time. If congestion persists, or the child has high fever or refuses feeds, see a doctor. Store below 30°C.
