Overview
Otrivin Nasal drops contain Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.05 % which provides effective relief from the blocked nose in children. It helps in moisturising dry nose and clears excess mucous from nasal cavity. Otrivin has a vasoconstrictor action,which helps in decongestion of the nasal and pharyngeal mucosa and reduces breathing difficulties. It provides long lasting relief and is safe for children.
Directions for Use
Children of age group 1-5 years should take 1-2 drops into each nostril once or twice in a day. Children of age group 6-11 years should take 2-4 drops into each nostril twice or thrice in a day. Dosage should be directed by the physician. Do not exceed the recommended dosage
Contraindications: • Known hypersensitivity to Otrivine or any of the excipients. • Concomitant use of other sympathomimetic decongestants. • Inflammation of the skin and/or mucosa of the nasal vestibule. • Trans-sphenoidal hypophysectomy or nasal surgery exposing the dura mater. • Not to be used in children under the age of 6 years.
