Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Inject only as directed by your doctor or diabetes educator. Once daily at the same time each day, under the skin of the abdomen, thigh or upper arm, rotating sites. Attach a new needle each time, prime the pen, dial your prescribed dose and inject. Never inject into a vein or muscle, never share pens, and do not mix with other insulins in the same syringe.

Hypoglycaemia is the main risk. Carry fast-acting sugar, learn the warning signs (shaking, sweating, confusion) and check glucose as advised. Store unopened pens in a refrigerator (2-8°C, never frozen); the pen in use keeps at room temperature below 30°C for up to 28 days. Dose needs change with illness, fasting, alcohol and exercise. Seek guidance rather than guessing. Tell your doctor if pregnant or planning pregnancy. Inspect the solution. Use only if clear and colourless.
